Lane was born in San Luis Obispo, and grew up on California's Central Coast. After earning a BA in Film and an AA in African American Studies, Lane moved to Los Angeles to become the best PA in town.  Unfortunately his PA career didn't pan out and he accidentally became an editor instead.
